    Simone Taylor named interim VP for student life

    Simone Himbeault Taylor has been appointed interim vice president for student life at U-M. Her appointment was approved by the Board of Regents on Thursday and is effective Jan. 18, 2020.

    After serving as interim director since June 2018, Tony Burger has been selected as the university’s new director of procurement services. Burger’s appointment was effective Dec. 1.

    Recipients of the 11th annual Distinguished Diversity Leaders Award for University of Michigan staff were celebrated Wednesday at a breakfast ceremony at the Michigan League.
