Staff members on campus and at Michigan Medicine are encouraged to help shape the future of our workplace by applying to join Voices of the Staff.

Voices of the Staff is U-M’s long-standing employee-engagement program for staff from Michigan Medicine and every academic campus. It brings together 120 staff members to help drive workplace improvement for all.

Voices teams have already made an impact in the areas of DEI initiatives, parking, career development, onboarding, health and well-being, technology and more.

The Voices of the Staff annual report offers a look at how the group adapted in 2020, and it highlights the “power of connection” in helping staff foster innovation and professional growth.

In 2021, the latest challenge facing the staff community is how to reimagine what the workplace will be in the near-term and beyond. The Voices team will be a great resource as the university continues to develop the “Future of Work.”

Voices of the Staff members can help the staff community have the best work experience possible. To participate, interested staff must apply for membership by April 30.

Staff who have at least one year of employment are invited to speak to their supervisors to obtain support for participation and apply.
