Food ruined in burglary at Palmer Commons café

Staff at the Palmer Commons cafeteria reported a burglary in the Fields Café kitchen that resulted in damaged equipment and spoiled food. No signs of forced entry were found Oct. 12 when staff reported to work. However, equipment was found turned on and damaged, and a refrigerator door left open thus spoiling the contents. The café had been closed since Oct. 9. 

Chemistry Building lab door locks damaged

Door locks to seven teaching laboratories were found damaged Oct. 9. However no access had been gained to the rooms. The attempted burglaries occurred between 5 p.m. Oct. 8 and 7:45 a.m. Oct. 9. There are no initial suspects.

Two stolen vehicles found on campus

In separate incidents, a moped and a golf cart were reported stolen in October, but later recovered on campus. There are no suspects in either incident.

On Oct. 4, a student reported that his moped had been taken from outside the FXB Building, where he had parked it Oct. 2.  The moped was found Oct. 13 near a wooded area west of the building. 

On Oct. 17, staff reported that a golf cart had been taken from outside the Indoor Track Building.  The next day, the undamaged cart was found outside Revelli Hall.
