Attempted burglary, arson discovered at Haven Hall office

A Haven Hall office was found burglarized Feb. 24 when staff discovered the office door window shattered and wood surrounding the window damaged. Additionally, a partially burned textbook and other evidence of an arson fire were found in the locked office. The fire apparently had self-extinguished before further damage occurred. The incident occurred between noon Feb. 23 and 9:30 a.m. Feb. 24. There are no suspects. 

Alumna reports 2003 assault

An alumna reported to University Police on Feb. 16 that she had been sexually assaulted in a residence hall in 2003. The subject said she knew the man who assaulted her in his West Quadrangle room after the two had attended an off-campus party. She said she sought medical evaluation the day following the assault, but did not file a police report at the time.
