The U-M community is reminded to offer input on the search for the next university president.
University employees and students can use an online feedback form. Valid U-M credentials are required to access the survey in order to limit respondents to the university community. The call for input does not collect user name information or other metadata, and responses will be kept confidential to the extent permitted by law.
Additionally, nominations for presidential candidates can be sent directly to: [email protected].
The survey will be closing soon and feedback is sought by Aug. 15.
In a July 10 message to the university’s three campuses and Michigan Medicine, the U-M Board of Regents reported the hiring of Spencer Stuart, a globally recognized executive search firm, to assist the process.

I think public input would be valuable. We haven’t been having great luck with the internal searches so it couldn’t be any worse.
