A campuswide New Faculty Orientation, designed to introduce all new faculty to U-M, will take place from 8:30 a.m-1:30 p.m. Aug. 23, on the second floor of the Michigan League.

Sponsored by the Office of the Provost and the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching, the orientation is designed to help new faculty members prepare for their first year at the University of Michigan.

The program will include welcoming remarks by President Santa Ono and Rebecca Cunningham, vice president for research. It also will include a CRLT Players performance and interactive sessions in which faculty can share experiences and strategize about good teaching.

The program also will feature a luncheon during which Provost Laurie McCauley will speak, followed by an information fair with representatives from key university offices.
