Active U Autumn returns this fall to encourage the U-M community to move and stay active.

Registration is now open for the eight-week physical activity program sponsored by MHealthy. Tracking activity minutes starts Sept. 16. All fitness levels and abilities are encouraged to sign up for Active U Autumn.

Active U Autumn is open to all faculty, staff, students, retirees and employees’ spouses/other qualified adults. The deadline to register is Sept. 30.

Physical activity has been shown to improve brain health, reduce the risk of disease, strengthen bones and muscles, and help perform everyday activities.

Program highlights include:

  • Choose to participate as an individual or join a team.
  • Track minutes using the online portal or sync to an activity tracking device or app.
  • Use the Active U Autumn’s Slack channel to connect with other participants, share photos and find encouragement. (Available to faculty and staff only.)
  • Access more than 100 videos in MHealthy’s physical activity library focused on strength training, cardio, yoga, meditation and more.
  • Enter to win $25 gift cards by sharing photos and posting to Active U Autumn’s Slack channel. (Available to faculty and staff only.)
  • During the program, participants are encouraged to donate to Project Healthy Schools. Through education and wellness activities, PHS enables middle school students to increase physical activity, eat healthier and understand how nutrition and activity influence their lifelong health.
