Campus helps iconic Michigan Union mark its 100th birthday
More than 500 students, staff, faculty and friends turned out Oct. 16 to wish a happy 100th birthday to a dear friend, the Michigan Union. Guests also learned the Union will reopen in January 2020, after undergoing an $85.2 million renovation.

Tech Transfer activity sets records in fiscal year 2019
U-M Tech Transfer reported that 22 startups were launched in fiscal year 2019, surpassing last year’s record of 21, and 198 U.S. patents were issued for inventions created at U-M, up from 183.

U-M to host presidential debate next October
The university has been selected to host a presidential debate on Oct. 15, 2020. It will take place at Crisler Center, and is one of three presidential debates scheduled to take place before next year’s general election.
