    Regent Denise Ilitch of Bingham Farms will succeed Ron Weiser as chair of the Board of Regents beginning July 1. Regent Jordan Acker of Huntington Woods will serve as vice chair.

    The Board of Regents has rescheduled its June meeting for June 25. It will be conducted virtually, and will begin at 9 a.m. The meeting originally had been scheduled for June 18.

    The Board of Regents have revised two Regents’ Bylaws to streamline policies governing the dismissal of tenured faculty. Changes affect procedures for dismissal, demotion or terminal appointment, and severance pay.

    The Board of Regents approved recommendations for new appointments and promotions for regular associate and full professor ranks, and received a report of clinical or research faculty promotions.
