    Donald R. Kinder is the 2022 Henry Russel Lecturer, U-M’s highest honor for senior members of its active faculty. Four other faculty members will receive Henry Russel Awards.

    The Board of Regents is scheduled to meet virtually at 2 p.m. July 15, consistent with Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s executive directive regarding public meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Revisions to the U-M Board of Regents’ Bylaws, and UM-Dearborn Campus Bylaws have been proposed and are posted for public comment before coming before the regents for approval July 15.

    U-M extends Go Blue Guarantee, $15 minimum wage to all campuses

    The university will extend its Go Blue Guarantee offering free tuition for qualifying Michigan residents to the Dearborn and Flint campuses. Regents also enacted a $15-an-hour minimum wage for permanent workers.

    Michigan Medicine reports positive financial performance for FY ’21

    Michigan Medicine has reported projected positive fiscal year-end results, with an anticipated 6.5 percent — or $339.8 million — operating margin on forecasted operating revenues of $5.2 billion.
