Legislature approves 2 percent boost to higher-ed funding
State funding for Michigan’s 15 public universities will increase by 2 percent — including increases ranging from 2 percent to 2.6 percent for U-M’s campuses — under a fiscal year 2019 budget approved by the state Legislature.
