    McCauley recommended as provost through June 2027

    Provost Laurie K. McCauley has been recommended for a full term as U-M’s chief academic and budgetary officer. If approved by the Board of Regents, McCauley, who was first appointed last May, would serve through June 2027.

    Less than 15% of the 92 million tons of clothing and other textiles discarded annually are recycled. Woven-in labels made with inexpensive photonic fibers, developed by a team led by U-M, could change that.
