Dr. Eric Fearon named director of Comprehensive Cancer Center

Dr. Eric Fearon has been named director of the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Fearon, the Emanuel N. Maisel Professor of Oncology, is a nationally recognized investigator in cancer genetics. His research has led to a greater understanding of gene defects that cause colon and rectal cancer to develop and spread.

Dr. Theodore Lawrence to direct Comprehensive Cancer Center

Dr. Theodore S. Lawrence, has been named the director of the U-M Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The Board of Regents approved the appointment Thursday. Lawrence succeeds Dr. Max S. Wicha, who founded the center 27 years ago.
