The Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design will present Reach: A Stamps Faculty Exhibition, running now through July 8 in the new downtown Ann Arbor Stamps Gallery, 201 S. Division St.

The exhibition brings together a cross-section of rigorous and research-based works that highlight the range and diversity of creative practices emerging from the Stamps School. Stamps faculty wear multiple hats as educators, storytellers, artists, and designers. Their work is a vehicle to deepen research and expand the pedagogical frameworks of contemporary art and design practices in the 21st century.

By experimenting with mediums, materials, audience interaction, and participation, Reach brings together energizing and compelling paintings, sculpture, new media installations, collage and found objects, video, performance, and textile design.

Reach is the first of a series of projects that will examine and highlight art, design and creative work produced by Stamps faculty in the years to come.

An exhibition reception will take place on from 6-8 p.m. June 16. The exhibition and the reception are free and open to the public.
