Series examines political communications in election year

“Political Communication in an Election Year: Involvement or Alienation” will be the subject of a series of seven free, public talks at the U-M this fall that are sponsored by the Department of Communication.

John Zaller, professor of political science at the University of California, Los Angeles, will deliver the first lecture, “Nature and Origins of Mass Opinion,” at 2:30 p.m. Tues. (Sept. 22) in the West Conference Room, Rackham Bldg.

Zaller has written numerous articles on public opinion polling and American politics.
