Record email, print editions to reduce publication for summer

Topics:

The University Record’s print and email editions are shifting to reduced schedule for the summer.

The May 22 email is the last daily edition until the fall semester begins Aug. 31. A weekly version will be emailed to subscribers beginning May 27.

Although the weekly email tentatively is scheduled to be sent each Wednesday, the delivery day could fluctuate this summer due to the possibility of breaking news regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on U-M.

The Record website will be updated throughout the week with news for faculty and staff, and the weekly email will include items added to the website during the previous week.

The Record’s print edition also will operate on a reduced schedule for the summer, with issues to be published June 8 and 22, July 20, and Aug. 10. The Record will resume its regular weekly print edition Aug. 31.

I will miss these daily emails. Will the weekly emails include more “in the news” publications from our faculty? I enjoy reading these daily. Thank you for all your hard work putting these out daily.
I wish all of you a warm, happy, healthy and safe summer!
