Myron Hepner, shown above left with his son, Brendan, and daughter, Caitlyn, prepares for the third annual March Madness Against Blindness fundraiser in which he will collect pledges for Kellogg Eye Center’s Pediatric Ophthalmology Clinic during the 32 games of the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The fundraiser will take place March 19-20 at Damon’s Grill, 3150 Boardwalk, Ann Arbor. Hepner created the event in 2007 to thank the physicians and staff at Kellogg who successfully treated Brendan for retinoblastoma — a cancer of the eye — when he was 9 months old.
