Honoring President Robben Fleming

The Robben and Aldyth Fleming Reception Room in the Alexander G. Ruthven Building was dedicated April 4, honoring the late U-M President Emeritus Robben W. Fleming.

The gathering space, located off the rotunda of the recently renovated Ruthven Building, was named after Fleming and his wife following the relocation of central administration offices to the Ruthven Building and the demolition of the Fleming Administration Building in 2022.

Fleming, who died in 2010, served as president from 1968-79 and returned as interim president in 1988.
