Grades due within 72 hours of exam

The Office of the Registrar will remain open during the holiday recess to process student grades so that grade reports can be distributed before classes begin in January.

Grade sheets for the Ann Arbor campus will be distributed to schools and departments Tuesday (Dec. 13), according to Edward C. Loyer, assistant registrar.

Faculty members are urged to submit grades within 72 hours of the completion of each examination, and are reminded of the following procedures and stipulations:

— Grade sheets should not be left in departmental offices on or after Dec. 23. Late grade sheets must be delivered to the Office of the Registrar, LS&A Building, or left in the grade sheet drop box at the LS&A Building’s State Street entrance.

— Grade sheets should not be sent through Campus Mail during the holidays. Grade sheet pickup service for departments will be offered on a regular schedule or by telephone request Dec. 15–16 and Dec. 19–23. All grades are due in the Office of the Registrar by 5 p.m. Dec. 26.

The office will be closed Dec. 26, 29 and 30 and Jan. 2. The office will be open Dec. 27–28 to process grades only.

During the holiday and closure days, the grade drop box at the State Street entrance of the LS&A Building will be emptied hourly during the week and periodically during the weekends and on Dec. 26.
