Patricia Wittkopp, assistant professor of ecology and evolutionary biology and assistant professor of molecular, cellular and developmental biology, LSA, was featured in the October issue of The Scientist magazine of the life sciences as a “Scientist to Watch.” Wittkopp says her goal is to elucidate the rules of gene regulation and expression that underlie animal evolution.

Dr. Andrew Haig was chosen to receive the Distinguished Clinician Award from the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in November at its annual assembly in San Diego. The Distinguished Clinician Award honors physiatrists who have achieved distinction through teaching and performance in physiatric patient care activities.
