Awards
Jayesh Thawani, third-year medical student and Edsel B. Ford scholar, has been awarded a Howard Hughes Medical Institute/National Institutes of Health (HHMI/NIH) Research Scholars Program Fellowship for 2008-09. Established in 1985, the fellowships provide 42 outstanding students at U.S. medical schools an opportunity to receive research training at the NIH headquarters in Bethesda, Md.
