Accolades

Honored The current issue of the journal English for Specific Purposes (Volume 27-2, 2008) is in honor of John Swales, professor emeritus of linguistics and director of the English Language Institute from 1985-2001. Although retired, he remains active in areas of applied linguistics research. Appointed Jorge Delva, associate professor of social work, has been appointed by the National Institutes of Health to serve as member of the NIH Behavioral Genetics and Epidemiology Study Section from July 1, 2008-June 30, 2012.
