Ann Arbor Transportation Authority’s (AATA) Route 36, the U-M shuttle to and from Wolverine Tower, will begin 15-minute service on June 13. It now runs every half-hour.
Faculty, staff and students with Uni-versity ID can ride AATA’s Route 36 and Oak Valley Route 16 free when going to and from Wolverine Tower; the University pays the fare.
Route 36 commuter service is now available 7:15 a.m.–6:45 p.m. weekdays. Buses arrive at the main U-M bus stop in front of the C.C. Little Building on the hour and half hour, with the last bus arriving at Wolverine Tower at 6:45 p.m.
Route 36 will depart from Wolverine Tower to Central Campus every 15 minutes on weekdays beginning at 7:15 a.m. June 13. The last bus will leave Wolverine Tower at 6 p.m., according to Liz Nowland Margolis, AATA manager of community relations.
Route 36 also serves the U-M commuter lot on South State Street. Commuters with U-M ID can park free and ride the shuttle free to Central Campus.
The Oak Valley Route 16 leaves the AATA Blake Transit Center downtown every 30 minutes, 7 a.m.–6 p.m., arriving at the Wolverine Tower 25 minutes later. The fare is 75 cents for passengers who take the Oak Valley bus to Briarwood or other destinations south of Ann Arbor.
