1993 designated holidays announced

The Personnel Office has announced the 1993 designated University holidays and season days. Staff members should note that they may substitute up to three holidays of their choice for any three University holidays with written notice to their supervisor on or before July 1.

Official holidays are Memorial Day (observed May 31), Independence Day (observed July 5), Labor Day (Sept. 6), Thanksgiving and the day following (Nov. 25–26), Christmas Day (observed Dec. 24) and New Year’s Day (observed Dec. 31).

In addition, most units will observe four season days, Dec. 27–30. Flexibility is provided to units that operate 24 hours per day and seven days a week or those that must schedule work during this period.

Employees in bargaining units observe holidays and season days as indicated in their agreements.
