The following items were approved by the Board of Regents at its Oct. 15 meeting.
Electrical feed to be updated
The Administrative Services Building will have its electrical feed updated with the construction of a small enclosure to house a new 13.2 kilovolt substation. University investment proceeds will fund the $2 million project that is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2010.
Equipment at power plant to be upgraded
Water treatment system equipment at the Central Power Plant will be upgraded, resulting in reduced chemical usage, improved energy and operational efficiency, and lower nitrogen dioxide emissions from the plant’s turbines. The $2.6 million project will be funded from utility resources and is scheduled to be completed in the winter of 2011.
