Legislature approves increased funding for higher education
The state Legislature has approved a higher education budget for fiscal year 2015, with increases of 5.7 percent for the Ann Arbor campus, 5.2 percent for UM-Dearborn and 7 percent for UM-Flint.

Surface-water temperatures in areas of Lake Superior are expected to be at least 6 degrees Fahrenheit colder than normal by August, delaying evaporation season and possibly raising water levels, researchers say.
