    The U-M athletic department expects a budget deficit of $62.9 million for the current fiscal year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and projects a surplus of $1.4 million for the fiscal year that begins July 1.

    Maria Gabriella Scarlatta, professor of French and associate dean in UM-Dearborn’s College of Arts, Sciences and Letters, will be that campus’ interim provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs.
