John Peter Kent, a former English professor at the University of Michigan, died Jan. 29 at Wellington at Hershey’s Mills assisted living facility in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He was 87.

Victors for Michigan final results show $5.28 billion total
The university has released the final results of its Victors for Michigan campaign, which closed Dec. 31, 2018, with more than 398,000 donors giving $5.28 billion.
