Susan Gelman named 2021 Henry Russel Lecturer
Susan A. Gelman, a psychology and linguistics professor who is a world leader in the field of psychological science, has been named U-M’s 2021 Henry Russel Lecturer, and four junior faculty members will receive Henry Russel Awards.

University policy requires face coverings anywhere on all campuses
The university is requiring all faculty, staff, students and visitors to wear a face covering over their mouth and nose anywhere on its Ann Arbor, Dearborn, Flint or medical campuses.

Cynthia H. Wilbanks, who has served as U-M’s vice president for government relations and directed its relationships at the local, state and federal levels for 22 years, will retire at year’s end.

Michigan Athletics announces ticket policies for 2020 football season
The athletic department says that if U-M is able to have a 2020 football season, the seating capacity of Michigan Stadium will be reduced, or games could be played without fans due to COVID-19.
