U-M sells downtown Flint building to Genesee County
U-M will sell the University Tower building on the UM-Flint campus to Genesee County for $8.5 million. The Board of Regents approved the sale Dec. 9. The purchase was approved Dec. 1 by the Genesee County Board of Commissioners.

An investigation of reported possible gunshots on the UM-Flint campus Monday morning determined no shots were fired and there was never a threat to the campus. Classes and activities are taking place.

A building designed for teaching, collaborating and inspiring the innovators of the 21st century will be built at UM-Flint, funded by a $3.8 million federal grant and $4.9 million in matching gifts by university donors.

UM-Flint receives $1.2M grant to assist sexual assault survivors
A $1.2 million grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration will assist two UM-Flint nursing professors to help train qualified sexual assault nurse examiners in Michigan.
