Media lab consultant finds intersection of social justice, art and science
Carlos Garcia, one of the four artists in Complex Movements, also works as managing consultant at GroundWorks Media Lab in the Duderstadt Library’s Digital Media Commons. Garcia graduated from U-M in 2012 with a degree in performing arts technology and a concentration in engineering.

Director of Greek life receives national recognition
To the right of Mary Beth Seiler’s desk, framed photo collages cover the wall, illustrating her career in Greek life during the past 36 years. As the longest-serving sorority and fraternity adviser in the nation, many stories hang in those frames. And a new addition to her walls is one that Seiler is humbly honored by — an award that Delta Gamma Fraternity recently created in her name.

Erin Flores, an administrative assistant at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, recently began making her own clothes. Her hobby started when she wanted to make her own costumes for Japanese animation and game conventions.

Housing custodian maintains green thumb off the job
Although it’s the middle of winter, Dave Camp has flower baskets on his mind. Camp, a custodian in Mary Markley Residence Hall, helps on weekends to run Tulip Tree Gardens with the owners — his wife, Rachel, and her sister, Laura Morehouse.
