New Central Campus building to include innovative classrooms
The Board of Regents approved design plans Thursday for a new 100,000-square-foot classroom building on Central Campus that will serve up to 10,000 students each day.

Feeding the animals
In 1929, an anonymous benefactor paid for the construction of a small zoo behind the Alexander G. Ruthven Museums Building on Washtenaw Avenue. The donor in part hoped the zoo would bring comfort to the children in University Hospital across the street.

More than 13M museum specimens moving to new U-M facility
Movers have begun hauling more than 13 million museum specimens from U-M’s zoology, paleontology and anthropology collections to a state-of-the-art collections and research facility south of campus.
