   U-M has formally implemented a test-optional policy for undergraduate admissions for the winter 2025 academic term and beyond.

   U-M received a record number of applications from prospective first-year students hoping to come to campus this fall, including sizable increases in a number of key demographics.

   Admissions office drops requirement for ACT, SAT writing components

   The university will no longer require undergraduate admissions applicants to complete the optional writing component of the SAT or the ACT.
