    Susan M. Collins, a public policy and economics professor and former Ford School dean who had been U-M’s interim provost, has been named provost and executive vice president for academic affairs through June 30, 2022.

    Martin A. Philbert has been removed as executive vice president for academic affairs and provost at U-M. President Mark Schlissel said he will recommend the Board of Regents appoint Acting Provost Susan M. Collins as interim provost.

    Susan M. Collins, former Ford School dean, named acting provost

    Susan M. Collins, former dean of the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, has been appointed U-M’s acting provost. She is stepping into the role because of the administrative leave of Provost Martin Philbert.
