   Provost Martha Pollack named president at Cornell University

   Provost Martha E. Pollack has been named president of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She will continue in her role at U-M through Jan. 31.

   Martha Pollack will serve an additional three years as U-M provost

   Martha E. Pollack, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs, will serve in that role through June 30, 2018, following Board of Regents action Thursday to extend her appointment.
