Assistant professor recalls ‘Jeopardy!’ experience
Ian Shin, assistant professor of history and American culture in LSA, appeared on “Jeopardy!” in 2017 and finished second. Shin fondly recalls his time with longtime “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek, who died of pancreatic cancer Nov. 8, 2020.

U-M has been awarded two $5 million grants through The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The grants, led by professors Stephanie Fryberg and Earl Lewis, will fund projects that focus on addressing racial inequity.
