Library tech upgrade begins June 16; service delays expected
The migration of the U-M Library’s technology system to a new platform begins June 16 and is expected to take up to six weeks. There will be some delays and interruptions during the transition process.

Art librarian tackles Cape Cod-style renovation project
Jamie Vander Broek, an art librarian at the Art, Architecture & Engineering Library, and her husband are renovating a 1,600-square-foot Cape Cod-style house on the far west side of Ann Arbor.

Paul Erickson named director of Clements Library
Paul Erickson has been appointed the Randolph G. Adams Director of the Clements Library at the William L. Clements Library. His five-year appointment is effective Jan. 1, 2020.

Taubman Health Sciences Library closing for renovation
With the renovation of the A. Alfred Taubman Health Sciences Library set to begin in the new year, the building will close at 11:45 p.m. Dec. 22. It will reopen in mid-2015.

The 3D Lab, part of the U-M Library’s Digital Media Commons on North Campus, is expanding campus access to 3-D printers with a grant from the university’s Third Century Initiative.

U-M acquires archive of maverick filmmaker John Sayles
Documents, images and props illuminating iconic film director John Sayles’ body of work will be available to researchers in the John Sayles Archive at the Special Collections Library.
