Four to receive honorary degrees at Spring Commencement

The Board of Regents has approved four honorary degrees to be awarded at the University of Michigan’s Spring Commencement ceremony May 4 at Michigan Stadium.

This year’s recipients, which were recommended by President Mark Schlissel and approved by the regents Thursday, are:

President Mark Schlissel is recommending to the Board of Regents that the University of Michigan award four honorary degrees at its commencement exercises on April 28 at Michigan Stadium.

Paul Saginaw and Ari Weinzweig, co-owners and founding partners of Zingerman's Community of Businesses, will deliver the Spring Commencement address for the Ann Arbor campus May 2 at Michigan Stadium.

Saginaw and Weinzweig will each receive honorary Doctor of Laws degrees.
