   U-M’s iconic Elbel Field will be transformed into one of the country’s best marching band practice facilities after the Board of Regents approved a project design and authorized construction.

   The Board of Regents will hear about about design concepts for a new Central Campus housing and dining complex at its Feb. 16 meeting, and university officials will discuss objectives for a second phase of the project.

   University to purchase Fingerle Lumber property near campus

   U-M will acquire 6.54 acres of land from Fingerle Lumber for the agreed-upon purchase price of $24 million.
