Jeffries’ $33M gift dedicated to student support at Law School

Lisa and Christopher Jeffries have committed $33 million to the University of Michigan Law School, with the gift’s entirety dedicated to student support, including scholarships and other forms of financial aid, summer funding programs and debt management.

Record number of donors support university on fourth Giving Blueday

A record-breaking number of donors — more than 8,000 — gave to their favorite causes at the University of Michigan during the fourth annual Giving Blueday, held on Giving Tuesday, a worldwide day of giving.

Giving Blueday 2017 attracted 841 more donors than the previous year, growing the family of Michigan supporters.

More than $5.5M raised from 7,364 donors in annual Giving Blueday

Donors to the University of Michigan made gifts totaling $5,541,901 during the third annual Giving Blueday, which coincided with Giving Tuesday, a worldwide day of giving.

Total giving surpassed last year’s donations by more than $1 million. More than 7,364 donors gave to Michigan. Most gifts were less than $100.

School of Information dean and wife pledge $2.5M gift to U-M

School of Information dean Jeffrey MacKie-Mason and his wife, Janet Netz, have committed to a gift of $2.5 million to the school. The gift is among the largest made by a dean at the University of Michigan to his or her school or college.
