   Fall course evaluations mirror past semesters, despite challenges

   Student evaluations of their 2020 fall term courses and instructors remained consistent with past semesters, despite the many challenges to teaching and learning posed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

   The Office of the Provost is urging academic units to “be mindful and explicit about the context of the term,” when using fall term course evaluations in teaching personnel considerations.

   Course evaluation process evolves in response to COVID-19

   Given the significant changes in U-M class instruction due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Office of the Provost will modify student course evaluations for the 2020 winter term that ends April 21.

   Faculty Senate passes resolution on course evaluation data

   The Faculty Senate is asking the administration not to release data from student course evaluations until the evaluation instrument can be redesigned, and a policy formulated to govern the data’s release.
