   Regents approve plans for UM-Flint collaborative tech facility

   The Board of Regents has approved design and construction plans for an academic teaching facility at UM-Flint that will focus on technology, flexibility and collaboration.

2. December 8, 2022

   Collaborative tech facility to be built on Flint campus

   A new, innovative academic laboratory space that promotes technology, flexibility and collaboration will serve as a home base for UM-Flint’s College of Innovation and Technology.

3. September 30, 2021

   Federal grant aids new UM-Flint Innovation and Technology Center

   A building designed for teaching, collaborating and inspiring the innovators of the 21st century will be built at UM-Flint, funded by a $3.8 million federal grant and $4.9 million in matching gifts by university donors.

   Pearson to lead UM-Flint’s new College of Innovation & Technology

   UM-Flint physics professor Christopher A. Pearson has been named the inaugural dean of the Flint campus’ new College of Innovation and Technology. He begins his duties Nov. 1.

5. September 17, 2020

   UM-Flint will create College of Innovation & Technology

   The Board of Regents approved the establishment in 2021 of a new, cutting-edge academic unit called the College of Innovation and Technology at UM-Flint with help from a $10 million Mott Foundation grant.
