   University wins zero-waste award in national competition

   U-M placed first in the large-campus division for zero waste in the nationwide 2022 Campus Race to Zero Waste. Ann Arbor campus facilities also competed in a local version of the contest.

   University waste-reduction competition runs February-March

   Campus Race to Zero Waste returns this year to challenge the U-M community to reduce waste through conscious consumption, recycling and composting.
