   U-M calls free-speech lawsuit allegations ‘a false caricature’

   The university has fired back against a lawsuit by the advocacy group Speech First Inc., calling the suit “a false caricature” of U-M’s free speech policies and practices.

   U-M seeks to address ‘mistaken premises’ in speech-related lawsuit

   The university has filed its initial response to a lawsuit in U.S. District Court, addressing “the mistaken factual and legal premises” upon which the lawsuit is based.

   U-M has begun a new online log to share information about each incident of bias reported to the university’s Bias Response Team.
