    Wolverines garner spots in Winter Olympics

    Ice dancing pairs Meryl Davis and Charlie White, along with Evan Bates and Emily Samuelson, all have their eyes on the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. The four U-M students took off Winter Semester to focus on skating competitions, especially the recent U.S. National Championships in Spokane, Wash. And with them landing spots on the U.S. Olympic team, it appears taking that hiatus paid off.

    Study finds plagiarism reduced by tutorial intervention

    A 15-minute Web-based tutorial that teaches students what constitutes plagiarism and how to avoid it reduces cases of plagiarism by 65 percent, a new study shows.     U-M Census contest aimed at college students, parents

    The university launched a contest today aimed at increasing student participation in the 2010 Census. The contest, sponsored by the Office of the Provost and the Institute for Social Research (ISR), offers $3,000 in prizes for short videos designed to spur student participation in the coming census.
