City police, fire and DPS form joint fire investigation team
The Ann Arbor police and fire departments and the Department of Public Safety have formed a joint investigation team to address recent suspicious fires that have been reported off campus, department officials announced.

New state smoking ban already U-M policy
The new state law banning smoking at all food establishments and workplaces effective May 1 will have little effect on U-M’s smoking enforcement policies, because smoking indoors on campus already is banned, university officials say.

Football staff coach women to benefit Comprehensive Cancer Center
More than 200 women will learn the secrets of Michigan football through drills on offense, defense, passing, blocking and kicking at the 12th annual Women’s Football Academy on June 12. U-M football coach Rich Rodriguez and his staff volunteer their time for this hands-on experience that raises money for the Comprehensive Cancer Center.
