Big House wellness
From left, U-M fitness instructors Camille Piner, Julie Sterling, Oluwadamilare Adeyri and Geraldine Powell lead a Zumba session for some of the more than 1,200 faculty and staff who attended “Be Well in the Big House” at Michigan Stadium on Friday. The second annual event, sponsored by MHealthy, featured strength training, Zumba, yoga and meditation sessions on the field and health-focused activities on the concourse. NCRB ceremony
University and student leaders cut a ceremonial ribbon Thursday to re-open the North Campus Recreation Building after a 16-month renovation. The project added modern infrastructure and architectural updates, natural lighting, air conditioning and other features to enhance students’ and members’ overall recreation experience. Technology meets accessibility

The Access for All website — now serving Jackson, Hillsdale and Lenawee counties — is one of at least 25 projects to grow out of the Citizen Interactive Design program, a multi-disciplinary course at the School of Information. Gifts of Art Employee Art Exhibition
Read MoreThroughout the year, Michigan Medicine is home to innovative and eye-catching art exhibitions and galleries, ranging from photographs to sculptures and ceramics. But for a few months each fall, one of the Gifts of Art galleries displays work by Michigan Medicine team members. The 2018 Gifts of Art Employee Art Exhibition is now underway, showcasing more than 100 pieces of art created by faculty, staff, students, volunteers and family members. Comparing urban biographies
Read More“Urban Biographies, Ancient and Modern,” now open at the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology, showcases three classical cities where U-M sponsors field projects: Gabii in Italy, Olynthos in Greece and Notion in Turkey. In this video, Christopher Ratté, professor of classical archaeology and research associate at the museum, discusses how the archaeologists excavating these cities, in collaboration with students and faculty from the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning, are comparing their findings with projects of urban rebuilding in contemporary Detroit.
