Customizing community libraries

Niles, Benzonia and other Michigan communities are partnering with the School of Information to engage residents in creative ways through their libraries. Maternal morbidity

A U-M research team’s review of data from millions of U.S. births finds higher rates of dangerous delivery-related conditions in new mothers of color and those with certain underlying health conditions. In this video, Lindsay Admon, clinical lecturer in obstetrics and gynecology and the study’s lead author, discusses the findings and the disparities found by race, ethnicity and underlying health status of the mother.

Murchie expansion at UM-Flint

Michigan Shake

A portable seismometer was installed inside Michigan Stadium for the 2018 U-M football season as part of the Michigan Shake project devised by Ben van der Pluijm, professor of earth and environmental sciences. In this video, van der Pluijm explains how the seismometer measures the ground shaking that occurs when the Big House crowd celebrates U-M touchdowns and other big plays.

Dentistry groundbreaking

University leaders and others kicked off construction of the School of Dentistry’s $140 million renovation and addition Tuesday with a ceremonial groundbreaking.
