Carbon neutrality town hall

Buddy-to-Buddy

Many veterans and service members have difficulty adjusting to civilian life, and often are too proud to ask for help. No one knows what it’s like to have served except for those who have served. This video looks at the U-M Depression Center’s Buddy-to-Buddy Program is training veterans throughout the state of Michigan on how they can provide resources, support and camaraderie to other vets and service members in their communities.

A look inside prison

Zoology letters

When the Museum of Zoology collection moved to the Research Museums Center south of campus, curators uncovered boxes filled with correspondence related to conservation efforts in the 1920s and ’30s. Clark Schmutz, who graduated in December, spent more than 100 hours reading and digitally scanning hundreds of letters to make them available online. In this video, Schmutz and Cody Thompson, the museum’s mammal collections manager, discuss the project and some of the intriguing stories that illustrate the links between museum collections and conservation.

New life is coming to the Michigan Union with its new entrance area, year-round courtyard, lounges that work for today’s students and an IdeaHub where student organizations make things happen.
