They were from the Golden Apple Award committee and joined the BlueJeans meeting to inform Garcia-Amaya he was the 30th recipient of the award, a moment captured in this video.

Match Day reimagined
Read more about this year’s Match DayOn March 20, 173 U-M medical students excitedly read their letter revealing where they have been accepted for residency training. But this time, due to COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings, the annual Match Day happened electronically. At noon, each student received online notification — instead of the traditional envelope. Students shared their excitement in real-time via the Medical School Twitter and Instagram accounts, and a special YouTube playlist.
